Mid-level
Accountable for recommending and structuring credit for a client end to end, including its rating and terms.
You now own the recommendation, not just the analysis: which product fits the borrower, what rating it gets, and which terms and covenants protect the bank. You begin working with the scorecards behind the rating. Compared with junior, the output is a decision proposal rather than a prepared file.
Average score required: 67%
Credit Products & Structures
Why: Lets you steer a client who asks for a revolving line toward a term loan or trade finance when the need is a one-off asset or import purchase.
Financial Spreading
Why: At this level you spread statements of unfamiliar sectors and reconcile conflicting versions, so the analysis you hand to the committee stands on normalized numbers.
Cash Flow Analysis for Credit
Why: Lets you size debt service against projected cash flow and defend how much a borrower can take on when the client argues for a larger limit.
Internal Rating Systems
Why: Lets you assign and justify an obligor rating, and argue for an override when the scale places a borrower in a grade that does not match what you see.
Probability of Default Modeling
Why: Lets you read a scorecard's output and its validation results well enough to know when a score should be trusted for a new borrower segment.
Term Sheet Design
Why: Lets you propose pricing, tenor and security together, so a facility's amortization matches the cash flow that will repay it.
Covenant Design & Monitoring
Why: Lets you set covenant levels with enough headroom to avoid false breaches, yet tight enough to trigger a conversation before the borrower deteriorates.
