Mid-level
Accountable for negotiating and closing commercial agreements across procurement, licensing, privacy and compliance terms with limited supervision.
You own negotiations with vendors and customers, deciding which concessions are acceptable without escalating. Contracts now carry specialist content, such as Incoterms, software licenses and data processing terms, and you bring in specialists only for the hard cases. What changes from junior is that you hold the position, not just the redline.

Boilerplate & Standard Clauses
Why: You negotiate force majeure and jurisdiction terms knowing which ones will matter in a real supply disruption or cross-border dispute, and trade them deliberately.
Risk Allocation & Liability
Why: You can push back on an uncapped indemnity from a key vendor and propose a cap, consequential-damages waiver and insurance requirement the business can live with.
Supply & Procurement Agreements
Why: You can negotiate a supply agreement's price adjustment, volume commitment and delivery terms so the company is not stuck with minimum purchases when demand falls.
IP Licensing & Technology Contracts
Why: You can decide whether a software license or a technology transfer grants the rights the product team needs, and flag an open-source component that conflicts with distribution plans.
Data Privacy in Contracts
Why: You can add a data processing agreement and transfer terms to a vendor contract when the vendor will handle personal data, so the company is not exposed to a regulator later.
Regulatory Compliance Provisions
Why: You can insert anti-bribery, sanctions and export-control clauses into a deal with a foreign distributor, so a third party's misconduct does not become the company's problem.
