Lo que cada nivel debe demostrar

Mid-level

Owns a technical product area, turning strategy and customer need into specs, architecture choices and experiments with engineering.

You write requirements engineers can build from, join design reviews to weigh technical trade-offs, and prioritize against competing demands using data. The step up from junior is that you are the person engineering expects to arrive with a clear spec, a ranked backlog and instrumentation already planned.

Ruta de estudio de este nivel: Technical Product Manager

  • Product Lifecycle

Por qué: Lets you shift investment as a product matures, for example moving effort from new features to reliability and cost when growth slows, and defend that choice with metrics.

  • Product-Market Fit

Por qué: Lets you design validation experiments and read retention to decide whether to iterate, narrow the segment or pivot, rather than building on an unproven assumption.

  • Market Analysis & Positioning

Por qué: Lets you size a segment and find where competitors are weak, so positioning rests on a real gap and not on a feature checklist.

  • Product Vision & Strategy

Por qué: Lets you turn a long-term strategy into plans that engineering and business teams can each act on, so quarterly work visibly points at the same direction.

  • Technical Requirements & Specs

Por qué: Lets you write acceptance criteria and API or data requirements precise enough to avoid a rebuild after QA, bridging what the customer needs and what engineers implement.

  • Architecture Decisions

Por qué: Lets you take part in a design review, ask about scaling, coupling and migration cost, and flag when a technical choice would block a product goal.

  • Roadmap Planning

Por qué: Lets you balance customer asks, business targets and technical feasibility in one roadmap and explain what moved when a dependency slips.

  • Resource Allocation & Trade-offs

Por qué: Lets you rank competing requests with RICE or similar scoring and show the reasoning, so a stakeholder who loses a slot sees why and does not escalate.

  • Engineering Communication

Por qué: Lets you explain a priority change and its reason to engineers without losing their trust, and hear their estimates as input rather than resistance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Por qué: Lets you coordinate design, engineering, marketing and support on one launch so each team's deadlines line up and nothing ships without docs or support readiness.

  • Product Instrumentation & Analytics

Por qué: Lets you define the event schema for a feature before it is built, so product health can be read from day one instead of retrofitting tracking after launch.

  • A/B Testing & Experimentation

Por qué: Lets you size, run and read an experiment correctly, so you do not ship a change on a result that was only noise from a too-small sample.
