What each level must prove

Mid-level

Accountable for changing how a team behaves, not just how it runs ceremonies.

You coach several teams, facilitate the hard conversations and use data to show where work gets stuck. Compared with junior, you stop reciting the framework and start choosing what to do when it does not fit the team.

Average score required: 72%

Study trail for this level: Agile Coaching

  • Agile Mindset

Why: When a team hides a missed commitment out of fear, you can build the safety and transparency that let problems surface in the Sprint rather than at the release.

  • Continuous Improvement Culture

Why: After an outage or a missed goal, you can run a blameless post-mortem and keep an improvement backlog so the same lesson is not relearned next quarter.

  • Scrum Framework

Why: You can adapt Scrum to a team with interrupts or a weak Product Owner and explain which rules you bent and which you protected, and why.

  • Kanban

Why: You can tune WIP limits and service classes for a team drowning in urgent requests, using flow evidence to renegotiate policies with the people asking.

  • Coaching vs Mentoring vs Consulting

Why: Facing a new Scrum Master who wants answers, you decide whether to teach, mentor or ask a powerful question, instead of defaulting to telling them what to do.

  • Facilitation Skills

Why: In a retrospective dominated by one loud voice, you can switch to silent brainstorming and dot voting so quieter people shape the outcome.

  • Agile Metrics

Why: You can read a cumulative flow diagram and cycle times to show where work waits, and refuse to let velocity be used to compare teams.

  • Stakeholder Management in Agile

Why: Before a Sprint Review with skeptical sponsors, you map who needs what and frame progress in their terms so the review produces feedback instead of defensiveness.
